Thank for your interest. Let me tell you a little about myself:
I received my BA from Wesleyan University and my medical degree from Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons. I completed my internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Michigan. Fascinated by the possibilities of working inside blood vessels, I completed a cardiovascular fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in NY with an extra year of fellowship in interventional cardiology at New York Medical College.
I went into practice as an interventional cardiologist in West Paterson, NJ. And for 20 years I thrived on the personal and professional satisfaction of solving my patients’ cardiac problems. I later expanded my practice to the interventional treatment of the entire circulatory system, using the latest technologies to work inside the smallest blood vessels of the brain, kidneys and legs.
Always seeking to extend my practice in ways to help more patients, I observed that new catheter treatments for vein disease were better alternatives to the traditional vein stripping procedure. I then added vein disease management to my practice, using my vascular catheter experience to work inside veins as well as arteries. This eventually led to me opening Cohen Vein Care and focusing my practice completely on the treatment of vein disorders. I have had the personal pleasure of helping thousands of patients to resolve their vein problems and improve the quality of their lives.
We have recently completed the merger of Cohen Vein Care with Advanced Vascular Associates, a leading vascular surgical practice. Our new entity is now named Advanced Vascular Vein Care. I am now able to deliver care to more patients in multiple locations, while enjoying the collaboration with a fantastic team of vascular surgeons. Visit my Vein Care Blog.
