Omer Riaz has been a dedicated physician with Advanced Vascular Associates and Vascular Research Institute since 2011, and is licensed in the States of New York and New Jersey. He is Board Certified in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery, a Diplomate of the American Board of Vascular and Lymphatic Medicine, and Attending Surgeon at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, Valley Hospital, Morristown Memorial Hospital, Saint Clare’s Hospital, Saint Barnabas Hospital, Newton Medical Center, Saint Joseph’s Healthcare System, and Chilton Medical Center.
Dr. Riaz holds a Doctor of Medicine Degree from Medical College of Virginia and a Bachelor’s Degree (Summa Cum Laude) from Virginia Commonwealth University. Previously he served as Director of Peripheral Vascular Intervention at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Surgical Resident and Clinical Instructor for Advanced Trauma Life Support at Medical College of Virginia, where he was awarded “Most Outstanding Chief Resident.”
His professional affiliations include American College of Cardiology (Fellow), Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions (Fellow), American College of Phlebology, American Professional Wound Care Association (Fellow), Medical Society of New Jersey, and Bergen County Medical Society.
